No Earthly Treasures (NET) More Info
Vision:
Our growing relationship with God is both our earthly and heavenly treasure that we want to share with others.
Group Composition:
We have people from all various professions or graduate schools in science, medicine, engineering, finance, IT, and accounting.
We have a varied set of interests including watching movies, playing poker, playing tennis, karaoke, clubbing, hitting balls at the golf range, playing Magic cards, eating a lot, rock climbing, and in general trying different activities except sports that make us exert strenuous activity outdoors.
Group History:
Almost four years ago our group began as a collection of recent college graduates and graduate students. At that time jobs were scarce, and we shared a common theme of lacking stable finances. But, we knew there was more to life than just money, namely our relationship with Christ. We decided on the name "No Earthly Treasures" to contrast our present struggles with our "abundant heavenly treasures" that we were investing in now. Since then God has blessed our group spiritually and provided jobs and opportunities. We continue to seek God and are reminded that all things are from Him and through Him and hence must return all glory to Him alone.

We are comprised of college students and recent college graduates who come from various spiritual backgrounds. Some members have grown up in church all of their lives, while others have just recently accepted Christ. Despite the disparity, our cell group shares a commonality in that we are striving to reflect the words of John 3:30 in our daily lives. John 3:30 says, "He must become greater; I must become less."
